Alexis Kushner is a San Francisco and Mill Valley native who has built her career the way she's built her life: by staying curious, embracing change, and never being afraid to be a beginner again. She knows this city the way you only can when you've actually lived it — not just as a market to navigate, but as a home to love.
Her career tells the same story. After graduating with honors from UC Santa Barbara with a BA in Global Studies, Spanish, and Dance, Alexis spent a semester studying abroad in Barcelona before heading to The Hague as a Foreign Service Intern with the U.S. Department of State. Back in the Bay Area, she ran events for a nonprofit think tank, then returned to Mill Valley and her first love of dance to manage RoCo Dance. Each chapter was purposeful: a deliberate choice to grow, to learn, to build something more aligned with the life she envisioned.
That drive took her back to school. She came to the University of San Francisco's MBA program with plans to open dance and fitness studios, but studying entrepreneurship in the Bay Area has a way of pulling you toward tech. Alexis spent the next 15 years as a B2B product marketer, working across startups before a decade-plus at Salesforce leading product marketing. Along the way she became a Certified Professional Coach, adding something most marketers and most realtors simply don't have: the ability to help people get clear on what they truly want, and the courage to go after it.
Real estate, it turns out, is the perfect synthesis of everything she's built. It was also always in her DNA. Her father ran Kushner & Co., a commercial real estate financing business, and Sunday open houses and property tours were a family tradition. She's been thinking about homes her whole life. She just didn't know it would become her calling.
Buying or selling a home isn't just a transaction. It's a pivot. A declaration that you're ready for the next chapter. Alexis gets that more than most, because she's lived it.
As a homeowner and single mom, she brings her whole self to every transaction. She's the agent who will actually answer your texts, tell you the truth when a deal isn't right, and celebrate fiercely when it is. She works across San Francisco, including the Castro, Noe Valley, Glen Park, Pacific Heights, the Mission, and Bernal Heights, and across the bridge into Mill Valley and Sausalito. She knows these neighborhoods not just professionally, but personally.
Her friends, family and clients describe her as smart, energetic, detail oriented, and someone who makes one of life's most stressful experiences genuinely enjoyable. They feel heard. They feel guided. And they feel confident they're in the hands of someone who will hustle for them every step of the way.
When she's not negotiating deals, you'll find her cheering on her son at sporting events in Noe Valley, walking her doodle Kirby through the Castro, attending a dance or fitness class, or obsessing over home decor, perfect lighting, and her garden.
Real estate, at its core, is about trust. And about helping people take the leap toward the life they actually want. That's exactly what Alexis does.
Home is more than the walls you live in. It's about family, community, and your surroundings. Alexis is here to help you create your perfect home in San Francisco.
